Amy C. Boles

Amy C Boles is the Superintendent of Schools for the Ellsworth School Department. After graduating from Colby College, Amy began her education career teaching high school social studies at Massabesic HS in southern Maine, before moving to the Ellsworth community in 2004. She has since served as the Assistant Principal at Ellsworth High School and the Director at Hancock County Technical Center. Now, as Superintendent of Schools, she is excited to lead the school department in partnership with the city during this pivotal time of growth and change. In addition to her Superintendent duties, Amy is on the Executive Board for the Chamber of Commerce and is the state Superintendent representative on the board of Educate ME. She was highlighted in the national School Administrator Magazine as a Superintendent to watch, and was awarded the Cornerstone Award by SkillsUSA. You can also find her on the sidelines of the Ellsworth HS girls soccer and basketball teams as a varsity assistant coach. Amy lives in Hancock with her husband Michael and two children Hunter and Elizabeth. Michael and Amy both love the Ellsworth community and are committed to its growth.
