Woodlawn Invites Businesses to participate in Christmas at Woodlawn
Ellsworth – Woodlawn is inviting businesses to help them create this year’s magical holiday experience for the community, Christmas at Woodlawn.
This annual celebration runs December 1 through 23 and the Black House is open for tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. According to Woodlawn’s executive director, “Area businesses have had a great time over the past several years helping us decorate the rooms of the Black House. They really enjoyed this unique holiday experience for work teams. Many of the businesses shared that it was so much fun, they wanted to do it again, while other businesses are looking forward to joining the fun in 2017.”
In 2016, there were 28 business trees in addition to all the Woodlawn decorations. With hundreds of visitors coming to Woodlawn in December, businesses are given great exposure. They are also promoted on Woodlawn’s webite and in social media promotions. There is no fee to participate, all that is needed is an artificial tree, decorations and a few Christmas elves to help deliver, set-up and decorate the tree. Set up will be during Woodlawn’s “Deck the Halls” week, November 13 to the 17 and taken down between January 3 and 10. Woodlawn staff will work with businesses to find convenient times within those weeks for setting up and taking down the trees.
