Tickets are On Sale for Blue Hill Memorial Hospital’s Second Annual Starlight Evening
Blue Hill – Tickets are now available for Blue Hill Memorial Hospital’s second annual Starlight Evening, a lovely night of food and drinks, live music, and dancing to benefit the hospital’s Emergency Department. The July 27 event will be hosted by Kitty and Tom Clements at Scrivelsby on Steamboat Wharf Road in Blue Hill.
The menu will include delicious hors d’oeuvres and a buffet provided by Rioux Catering, sweet treats from Pugnuts Ice Cream Shop, and open bar. Guests will dance the night away under the tent to music by Wavelength. A silent auction will feature several unique items, including a week in Taos, New Mexico, a week stay on Toddy Pond, a weekend trip to a Red Sox game, a private sunset cruise for 6 and more.
“Starlight evening is an opportunity for both year-round community members and summer residents to enjoy an evening out while helping us provide quality emergency services around the clock, 365 days a year,” says John Ronan, MBA, FACHE, president, Blue Hill Memorial Hospital. “Every dollar raised will stay right here in the local community to fund equipment purchases and other needs in the Emergency Department.”
Blue Hill Peninsula residents and visitors use the Emergency Department more than 5,600 times each year. Last year’s Starlight Evening event raised more than $45,000 to fund the purchase of a new ultrasound machine and to help with other Emergency Department expenses. Event organizers are hoping to raise even more in 2018.
“We wouldn’t be able to meet our patient care mission without community support,” adds Ronan. “We’re grateful to those who are helping to make this event a successful fundraiser for the Emergency Department, including the Clements, our sponsors, and everyone who has purchased a ticket.”
Starlight Evening is presented by Wallace Events. Sponsors include Rioux Catering, Tradewinds, Trina Parson, The Meadow of Blue Hill, Lee Lee and the SEED Barn, Peter and Victoria Bartholow, Scott Gray and Edward Griffin, S. Ramanadha Rao, MD and Rama Surapaneni, John and Joan Freeman, Gigi Cutler, Bangor Savings Bank, Eaton Peabody, First Advisors, and Pugnuts Ice Cream.
