Ellsworth – Maine Coast Memorial Hospital patients in the Mary Dow Center will be treated to a little extra comfort because of a special delivery on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 as Stanley Subaru delivered 80 blankets to Maine Coast Memorial Hospital as part of a partnership with Subaru of America and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Stanley Subaru owner Mark Politte shares, “We are committed to supporting cancer awareness, treatments, and care. The Mary Dow center is an amazing resource in our community and we are proud to support their efforts.”
With the Subaru Loves to Care Program, blankets along with Messages of Hope were delivered to The Mary Dow Center. Message of Hope Cards were handwritten by people who recently visited Stanley Subaru. “This is a great way to let patients know that people in their community, who they might not even know, support them and are care about them while they’re treating their disease. We are deeply committed to those in our community affected by cancer,” says Mark Politte. “We are excited about this program, because it gives us yet another way to partner with the Mary Dow center and help patients and their families.”
“We are incredibly grateful for the support of Stanley Subaru,” says Stephanie DeRedin, RN BSN, director of The Mary Dow Center. “We strive to offer compassionate, personalized care to our patients and we know they truly appreciate these extra-special touches.”
