SaltyGirl “Survivorship and Beyond Warrior Revolution” Beauty Workshop Offered
Hosted by the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center
Ellsworth, Maine—Feeling a sense of beauty while going through cancer treatment and beyond can be an empowering experience. While most changes in appearance are temporary, founders of SaltyGirl Beauty are dedicated to helping women look and feel their best during cancer treatment. Leah Roberts and Sarah Kelly, owners of SaltyGirl Beauty in Biddeford and creators of the “Survivorship and Beyond Warrior Revolution Workshop” have set a goal to help educate, empower and pamper women during and post-cancer treatment.
SaltyGirl Beauty was born, when sisters, Sarah Kelly-a cancer survivor and Leah Roberts-an oncology nurse started their own line of beauty products. After Sarah was diagnosed with breast cancer, she and Leah became passionate about researching and understanding the ingredients our bodies consume daily. Sarah discovered the power that beautiful scarves and lipsticks had in helping her rediscover her confidence while enduring the emotional and physical hardships she had experienced during cancer treatment. Using their own experiences as their guide, their goal for SaltyGirl Beauty was to create an all-natural, organic cosmetic line that stood for something bigger than beauty: feeling beautiful and confident.
The workshop will include a journaling exercise, a beauty demonstration, beauty consultations, exploration of green beauty products and feeling beautiful and confident and will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2019, from 10:00 – 11:30 am at the Beth Wright Cancer Resource Center, 23 Commerce Park in Ellsworth. The workshop is free and open to all women living with cancer. Please call the Center to register 207-664-0339.
