Safe Harbor Cancer Support Group Expands Sessions
Ellsworth-Coping with the challenges of cancer can be an isolating and overwhelming experience. Sharing feelings and sources of strength with others who have walked the same road, helps one feel supported, uplifted, and fosters hope.
The Safe Harbor Cancer Support Group is a confidential and supportive gathering place for people living with all phases of cancer and will be now be meeting twice a month on the 2nd &4th Thursdays from 11 am – 12:30 pm at the Beth Wright Cancer Center.
The group’s facilitator, Janice Ronco, LCSW, encourages survivors to come and explore their experience in a safe and supportive group with others who are on the same path. Janice has a background in bereavement counseling and is currently in private practice and employed as a medical social worker with Northern Light VNA Home Health and Hospice.
This group is free of charge and open to all cancer patients regardless of cancer type. For more information call 207-664-0339.
