Safe Harbor Cancer Support Group Begins October 17
Janice Ronco, LCSW to facilitate
Ellsworth-The Safe Harbor Cancer Support Group is a new support group at the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center. The groups aim is to provide a confidential and supportive gathering place for people living with all phases of cancer. Coping with the challenges of cancer can be an isolating and overwhelming experience. Sharing feelings and sources of strength with others who have walked the same road, helps one feel supported, uplifted, and fosters hope.
The group’s facilitator, Janice Ronco, LCSW, encourages survivors to come and explore their experience in a safe and supportive group with others who are on the same path. This group is free of charge and open to all cancer patients regardless of cancer type. Janice has a background in bereavement counseling and is currently in private practice and employed as a medical social worker with Northern Light VNA Home Health and Hospice.
The group will start on Thursday, October 17, 2019, and will take place on the 3rd Thursday of each month, from 11 am – 12:30 pm. It will be held at the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center at 23 Commerce Park in Ellsworth. Please call 2907-664-0339 for more information or to register.
