Neighbors Make the Difference Day – May 24, 2017

Ellsworth – On May 24th,  KeyBank in Ellsworth closed early at Noon and volunteered at the Downeast Family YMCA Camp Discovery on webb pond.  We met Roman Perez out there and helped clean up the property and get it ready for the summer season.

More than twenty-five years ago, KeyBank employees in Alaska launched a community service effort dubbed Neighbors Make the Difference Day. Today, Neighbors Make the Difference Day is an annual event that occurs in 15 states, from Maine to Alaska, and is focused on promoting neighborhood prosperity.

On Neighbors Make the Difference Day, KeyBank demonstrates its gratitude to its neighbors and reinforces the bank’s focus on creating prosperous communities and neighborhoods. The KeyBank Foundation works hard all year long to connect closely with nonprofit partners that will have a transformative impact on our communities, and our employees’ engagement in volunteerism and personal philanthropy is humbling. Neighbors Make the Difference Day is a powerful demonstration of our employees’ heartfelt commitment to their neighbors.

We’d  like to thank Roman for his passion and hard work he is putting into the summer camp.  We are very happy that he agreed to let us come check out the camp and help out for our annual neighbors day event
