Nature Series at Woodlawn continues on July 25 with “Ospreys – Magnificent Fish Hawks.”
Ellsworth – Woodlawn is pleased to announce the next offering in its popular series, Nature Programs at Woodlawn on Wednesday, July 25 from 6:30-7:30pm with a program titled “Ospreys – Magnificent Fish Hawks.” Participants will learn more about osprey’s amazing courtship, nests, excellent fishing techniques, and where to watch them around Ellsworth.
Woodlawn’s nature programs are led by naturalist Lynn Havsall. Once a month, through September, the series will offer other interesting discussions titled, “Beautiful Beetles of Maine” (August 29) and “Cloud Watching” (September 12). These fun learning experiences are open for all ages, however children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Programs include a slide show discussion in Woodlawn’s Sleigh Barn. Woodlawn is an educational, cultural, and recreational treasure for the people of Downeast Maine. The main house is open for tours May 1 – October 31 and December 1-23.
