Moody’s Collision Centers Brings Glidden Auto Body Into The Family
Ellsworth – Moody’s Collision Centers, an employee-owned Maine family business since 1977 with eleven locations throughout Maine, acquired Glidden Auto Body in Bangor and Ellsworth almost a year ago. With the recent passing of Glidden’s founder Bob Glidden, Moody’s received a blessing from the Glidden family on the name change.
“From the first time I met Bob Glidden I knew our cultures and business philosophies really aligned, it all gets down to taking care of people.” said Shawn Moody, Founder of Moody’s Collision Centers.
“We honor the former Glidden’s and Ashmore Bros. legacy of providing excellent customer service and quality work you can trust. Many customers didn’t know that John Coughlin had purchased Glidden’s in Bangor back in 1990 and had continued to include Bob Glidden in their creative and entertaining ads,” John had also acquired Ashmore Bros. of Ellsworth in 2012,” continued Moody.
There will be a celebratory Name Change Ceremony facilitated by the Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce on Friday, November 15, 2019 from noon to 1 pm at
The Ashmore more Brothers/Glidden location at 7 Short Street, Ellsworth
