Nestled in Downeast Maine is one of the largest museums of pre-digital era telephones and telephone equipment in the world.
At this hands-on, interactive museum with real working telephones, switchboards, and switching systems, you are encouraged to use wall-mounted, hand-crank magneto phones, dial phones, and manual switchboards. And you will see, hear, and enjoy the electro-mechanical marvels that led the way to computers, cell phones, smart phones and other wonders of telecommunications.
Whether you live nearby or are visiting the area on vacation, bring the whole family.
Open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4pm in July, August, and September, or by appointment. Admission costs $10 per adult, $5 per child; ask about discounts for seniors and groups of 10 or more.
