Leadership Hancock County Announces Host Sites for 2018 Program
Ellsworth – Leadership Hancock County has announced its 2018 line up of host sites for the 2018 class schedule. January 30: Hancock County Emergency Management Agency (class location TBD); February 13: The Abbe Museum Bar Harbor; March 6: Airline Brewery Amherst; March 27: Acadia National Park and Downeast Transportation, Trenton Gateway Center; April 10: Maine Community Foundation, Ellsworth; and May 1: Bar Harbor Catering Company, Bar Harbor.
Leadership Hancock County is in its eighth year of providing quality leadership training and development to managers, business leaders and owners across the economic sectors in Hancock County. The program is a partnership of the Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce and the Hancock County Higher Ed. Center with financial support from the City of Ellsworth. Over 100 graduates of the program have participated in the five month series of classes that take place in host sites around the county, immersing the classes in that business environment for the day. “We are extremely lucky that businesses agree to host us, and take the time to share their stories with our classes” states Gretchen Wilson, chamber director and program coordinator. “Over the years close to 40 Hancock County businesses have hosted a class, giving them an insider’s view as to the leadership challenges and successes of their particular industry.”
Leadership Hancock County applications are available now on the Chamber website at www.ellsworthchamber.org. The program runs from late January to early May, and has limited space each year. Deadline for the program is December 8, 2017. For more information contact the Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce at 667-5584
