Ellsworth – Gourmet, bistro-style cuisine prepared by local chefs will highlight the twenty-sixth annual Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital Chefs’ Gala, sponsored by Camden National Bank. This year’s block party-themed event, scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 5:30 to 11 pm at the Ramada in Ellsworth, will support breast care services at Maine Coast Hospital.

“We look forward to being a part of this important event again this year,” says Greg Dufour, president & CEO of Camden National Bank. “The services provided by Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital are vital to the health of our communities, are we’re grateful for all they are doing to support those in need of care.”

Wavelength, the award-winning, five-piece band known for its high energy and dance-friendly set lists, will be back to provide the entertainment. A team of the greatest chefs in the area brought together by Chip Butterwick from Chipper’s Restaurant & Catering will share their delectable specialties street party-style. Selections will include a raw bar.

Every dollar raised at the Chefs’ Gala will support breast care services provided at Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital, including scholarships to provide access to mammograms for those who lack health insurance or have high deductibles. Proceeds will also fund improvements to breast care facilities to enhance patient comfort, convenience, and access to care.

“We’re committed to providing the highest quality breast care services,” says John Ronan, MBA, FACHE, president, Maine Coast Hospital. “The Chefs’ Gala is a critical funding source supporting improved access and technology upgrades.”
