How to Participate in the Maine Bird Atlas 2018-2022: a lecture with Richard MacDonald at Woodlawn
Ellsworth – Local ornithologist and bird tour leader, Richard MacDonald, will talk at Woodlawn Museum on May 9, 2018 from 6-7pm. His talk will focus on the history of the Maine Bird Atlas and how community members can participate. Rich will walk listeners through resources available and how to report their observations. This is a five-year effort to document both breeding and wintering birds across the state. To be successful, the effort will need people across the state to volunteer. The Maine Bird Atlas will be a fun new way to go birding in Maine, share sightings, and contribute to a better understanding of Maine’s birds. The lecture is free and open to the public. Space is limited. Reservations are required by visiting woodlawnmuseum.org.
