Herrick & Salsbury, Inc. Opens New Location on MDI
NORTHEAST HARBOR, ME – Herrick & Salsbury, Inc. is celebrating the opening of a new location on Mount Desert Island. The land surveying and land use consulting business is officially opening its doors to a second location in Northeast Harbor.
“We have been working on MDI since our company began, so we have great familiarity with the area and the people,” said Tara Hartson, Vice President and resident of Mount Desert. “Our relationships with on-island professionals run deep, and we are confident that having a regular presence on the island will be beneficial to our team as well as our clients for years to come.”
Herrick and Salsbury’s island location is at 123 Main Street, Suite C-1 in Northeast Harbor. For mail, the company uses PO Box 9 in Northeast Harbor. The physical office will be open at various times, depending on staff needs in the field and at the company’s existing office in Ellsworth.
“While this physical expansion into a second office comes with many benefits for all, we would still recommend that people call in advance,” said Hartson. “Our staff is busy doing the hands-on work that our clients have come to expect. As a result, there will be times when there is nobody in the office in Northeast Harbor. But it is a home base for us to be able to conduct business and build stronger relationships on MDI.”
Herrick & Salsbury, Inc. started in 1962 in Blue Hill. Today, the full service land surveying and land use consulting business is located in Ellsworth and Northeast Harbor, and serves clients throughout the state, and locally in Hancock, Knox, Penobscot, Waldo, and Washington counties. Staff includes 3 surveyors, 2 technicians, 2 office employees and K9 mascot, Penny.
