Healthy Acadia to Offer Recovery Coach Academy in April
Ellsworth. Are you are interested in supporting others along their journey to recovery? Are you an individual in long-term recovery from substance use, a friend or family member of someone in recovery, or a recovery ally? Healthy Acadia is thrilled to offer a 30-hour Connecticut Community for Addiction (CCAR) Recovery Coach Academy, a training session for those interested in serving as peer-to-peer coaches for those seeking recovery from substance use, from April 30 to May 3, 2019 at the Ramada Inn, Ellsworth. Classes will meet from 8:30AM to 5:00PM each day.
Recovery Coach Academy, led by Healthy Acadia’s certified Recovery Coach trainers, Terri Woodruff and Denise Black, is a highly interactive 4-day training using curriculum developed by the Connecticut Center for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) that provides participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to guide and mentor others through their own recovery process. For more information about recovery coaching and the CCAR model, visit www.ccar.us.
The course fee is $100 per participant and priority is given to residents of Hancock and Washington counties. Course fee includes the Recovery Coach manual and, upon full course completion, 30 CEU’s, issued by CCAR. ADVANCE REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT IS REQUIRED. Register online here: https://goo.gl/forms/7IVMT5EjZZZFjPm22. The course fee for Maine RecoveryCorps site supervisors and RecoveryCorps members will be provided by grant funding.
