Harrington Prostate Cancer Rehabilitation and Recovery Talk Scheduled: Presented by Maine Coast Hospital Physical Therapist Cadie Saucier
Ellsworth—The Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center will be hosting a free talk about Prostate Cancer Rehab and Recovery for men affected by prostate cancer treatment at the Harrington Family Health Center. Statistics show that one out our every 9 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. A common result of having a prostatectomy – the surgical removal of the prostate – often results in difficulty with bladder control and urinary incontinence.
Physical Therapist Cadie Saucier, DPT at Maine Coast Hospital, will be presenting a talk that will focus on the benefits of Pelvic Rehabilitation for men who are looking to regain control over their pelvic and abdominal symptoms, enhance their quality of life and return to physical activities after prostate cancer surgery.
Cadie Saucier, DPT, has extensive training for treatment of pelvic floor disorders and has a passion for helping people. Cadie provides pelvic floor rehabilitation for men, women and children and describes the therapy as a “natural, non-surgical treatments that aim to train the body how to help itself.”
The talk will take place on Thursday, July 25, 2019, 1:00 – 2:30 pm at the Harrington Family Health Center.
