Grief Support Through Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County
Ellsworth: Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County announces a new series of grief support groups. A group For Those Who Have Lost a Loved One will begin Wednesday, October 12, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., and continue each week at the same time through December 7. This group will be held at the HVHC house in Ellsworth.
A group for Parents Who Have Lost an Adult Child will be held on Mondays, October 17 – December 5, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at St. Francis by the Sea Church, Blue Hill.
In addition to these groups, HVHC is also hosting a more general Aging and Loss Workshop which offers support for those grieving the various losses associated with aging including the death of a spouse or family members and friends, impaired health, financial insecurity and changes in life roles. That group will begin Tuesday October 11, from 10:00 – 11:30 and continue the same time each week through November 29 (no meeting on November 22), at the Bucksport Senior Center, 125 Outer Broadway, Bucksport.
