GOVERNOR’S RESTAURANT TO HOST ANNUAL LOBSTER ROLL DAY ON TUESDAY, JUNE 25th 2019

Governor’s Restaurant & Bakery announced today that its annual Lobster Roll Day will be held on Tuesday June 25th 2019 at all Governor’s locations.  The 6 unit restaurant chain sells Lobster Rolls at a deeply discounted price on one day each June as part of the Governor’s June Birthday Celebration.  This year the price for a Lobster Roll is $6.60 to celebrate a landmark 60 years of serving the people of Maine. Governor’s Restaurant was founded in 1959 in Old Town, Maine by Leith and Donna Wadleigh, and is still a family owned company.

“Lobster Roll Day has become our busiest day of the year, and one that our guests look forward to.” said Jason Clay, Governor’s Restaurant’s Director of Marketing.  Clay added “We love the opportunity to give back to our guests statewide as a thank you for 60 successful years in business.  This year, we are prepared to sell more than 26,000 Lobster Rolls company wide, which would set a new record for us.” Governor’s has been hosting a Lobster Roll Day every June since 2010.

Governor’s locations will begin selling Lobster Rolls when they open at 6:30 am on June 25th.  They will be available to eat in or for take out. All Governor’s locations will feature either a cash only drive thru or cash only outdoor walk up kiosk to help customers get their lobster rolls as easily as possible.  “As you might imagine, we’re extremely busy all day long, and we encourage guests to visit us before 10 am or between 2 and 4 pm during off peak times when the lines aren’t as long.” Clay said. “We do accept large bulk orders ahead, but we have lobster rolls prepared and ready to be picked up.”
