GOODE JOINS Maine Community Foundation AS PROGRAM OFFICER
ELLSWORTH & PORTLAND – The Maine Community Foundation (MaineCF) has announced the appointment of Leslie Goode as Program Officer. Goode will support MaineCF’s work in Hancock, Washington, and Waldo counties and work with grantmaking committees and donors in the region.
A Blue Hill resident, Goode holds a BA from Smith College and a masters from John Hopkins University School of Public Health. She has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than 25 years in Washington, DC, Philadelphia and Maine with a focus on advocacy, policy and philanthropy.
Goode was executive director of the Maine Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and director of policy and communication at the Maine Health Access Foundation. She has also worked as an entrepreneur, small business owner and nonprofit consultant. Community service includes serving on the boards of Friends of Blue Hill Public Library, Healthy Peninsula and Maine Initiatives. She is a graduate of Leadership Maine. Goode will work in MaineCF’s Ellsworth office.
