Criterion Theatre Receives a Grant to Support Children’s Programming
The 1932 Criterion Theatre was awarded a grant from the Hattie A. & Fred C. Lynam Trust to aid in funding quality children’s programming through the power of storytelling.
“We are so honored that the work we’ve been doing is being recognized in this way,” said Director Heather Martin. “We’re looking forward to a really amazing 2017 and we’re committed to maintaining quality programming for all ages and creating safe spaces for children to hear and share stories.”
This funding helps The Criterion uphold its mission of safeguarding the historic space for the performing arts and cinema well into the future.
The Hattie A. and Fred C. Lynam Trust was established to support local organizations which are beneficial to and advantageous for the people of Mount Desert Island.
