Call for Handcrafters at Community Craft Show, October 5 & 6 during Art of Ellsworth: Maine Craft Weekend.
The Heart of Ellsworth celebrates the Art of Ellsworth: Maine Craft Weekend on October 5 & 6 with a Community Craft Show at 142 Main Street in Ellsworth.
Ellsworth – The Community Craft Show will offer a marketplace for community members to sell their handcrafted goods and craft supplies. This is an open community show with no jury. Registrations are being accepted starting September 11, on a first-come, first-served basis and will remain open until all slots are filled. Each space is $45 total for both Saturday and Sunday. Preference will be given to those selling handcrafted work, however other vendors are encouraged to register and will be accommodated as space allows.
The Community Craft Show is free of admission and open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, October 5 & 6. Additionally, the space will feature demos by area makers in wood, metal, clay, and fiber. For the third year in a row, Heart of Ellsworth has partnered with the Maine Crafts Association to be a Featured City in their Maine Craft Weekend tour.
The Community Craft Show is made possible with a generous grant from the Belvedere Traditional Handcraft Fund via the Maine Community Foundation. The Belvedere Traditional Handcrafts Fund was established in 2007 by an anonymous donor. The goal of the fund is to support projects and organizations that promote traditional handcrafts throughout Maine.
Demos, workshops and other craft-based activities will be happening all around downtown Ellsworth during Maine Craft Weekend. Full event calendar will be available at heartofellsworth.org and Heart of Ellsworth’s Facebook page. For more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
