Bangor Savings Bank Sponsors Castine Historical Society Exhibit

Castine, Maine: Thanks to a $5,000 sponsorship from Bangor Savings Bank, the Castine Historical Society opened its 2018 season exhibit on June 11th. The new exhibit, Castine’s Devoted Women: Public Service and Social Change, will be on view through Columbus Day.

The Castine Historical Society serves as a window into Castine’s extraordinary past. The Society preserves local history and hosts permanent and temporary exhibitions, lectures, town walking tours, house and garden tours, and historic reenactments in its Abbott School exhibit gallery at 17 School Street, Castine. The Grindle House offices and research library located at 13 School Street, Castine are open year-round and researchers are welcome by appointment.
