Artist Gay Paratore to teach Basic Watercolors at Woodlawn
Ellsworth- Woodlawn is pleased to welcome artist Gay Paratore for a two day, Basic Watercolors class on Friday, July 14 and Saturday July 15, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In this two-day class with artist Gay Paratore, you will have fun learning how to paint beautiful clouds and sunsets and easy ways to make rocks, grass, and trees. Learn the secret to painting colors that are clean and glowing. Learn how to paint water and reflections in water. All will be done in a series of exercises; many will be tiny paintings. Learn how to “fix” and “erase” with ease. Once participants get the basics down, they will do one or two full sheet (11 X 15) paintings.
Paratore is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, the National Society of Artists, the Texas Watercolor Society, the San Diego watercolor society, and the Watercolor Art Society of Houston. She is an associate member of the American Watercolor society and studied art in New York at the Art Students League and the National Academy of Art. She studied watercolor at the University of Maine at Presque Isle and taken classes from over 100 instructors in as many different media as possible.
