Annual Spring Cleanup Day at Woodlawn is May 12
Ellsworth – Woodlawn is holding its annual Spring Cleanup Day on Saturday, May 12, 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Volunteers are invited to join the Woodlawn staff for lawn raking, garden clean up and other tasks needed to prepare the property for the summer season. Volunteers are asked to bring their own rake and gloves and Woodlawn will provide light refreshments.
According to executive director, Joshua Torrance, “Spring Cleanup Day is a great way to help Woodlawn and meet new people at the same time.” In 2017 Woodlawn benefited from over 1,000 hours of volunteer service. Local high school students are encouraged to participate in cleanup day as it provides a great opportunity to earn their required community service hours.
