Afternoon High Teas Continue at Woodlawn through September
Ellsworth – Woodlawn invites you to experience the elegance and tradition of an afternoon high tea in September. Held on Wednesdays, September 12,19 and 26, teas start at 3:00pm and are held rain or shine. On rainy days tea is served in Woodlawn’s Sleigh Barn.
“We have enjoyed welcoming both local residents and tourists to our teas this year and look forward to celebrating the last weeks of summer with this long-standing tradition,” said Joshua Torrance, Executive Director. Catered by Flexit Café and Bakery, the menu includes an assortment of finger sandwiches and sweets that are served with Woodlawn’s special tea blends. The cost is $22 for Woodlawn members and $25 for non-members and includes a self-guided audio tour of the Black House. Space is limited. Tickets can be purchased through the calendar at woodlawnmuseum.org
Woodlawn is an educational, cultural, and recreational treasure for the people of Downeast Maine. The main house is open for tours May 1 – October 31 and December 1-23.
