4th Annual Taste of Ellsworth Event – Online
For the past three years, June is the month when Heart of Ellsworth celebrates area restaurants with its Taste of Ellsworth event. Hundreds of people turn out to socialize with friends, try new food offerings created by area chefs, and listen to live music in an open-air setting.
This year due to the COVID -19 pandemic Heart of Ellsworth, is not able to bring this much-loved event to downtown. However, area restaurants need community support more than ever. To encourage patronage of area eateries, Heart of Ellsworth will profile one eaterie each day on social media, helping followers to support local by calling for take-out or curbside pick-up. Follow along on social media platforms, Facebook, and Instagram @heartofellsworth.
Never had Sri Lankan food, call, and order take-out from Serendib. Wondering what a Yam I Am is? Give 86 This! a call. Always wanted to treat yourself to a brunch? Provender can make it happen. That’s right, support area restaurants as they find their new routine and get back up and running after being shut down for the past few months. Most eateries are offering take out with curbside pick up. Others are finding ways to provide safe dine-in options. Those that can, are offering outdoor seating options. With the warm days ahead, why not pick up take out and enjoy one of Ellsworth’s numerous parks or its beautiful waterfront for a special lunch or dinner out. Relax and safely enjoy dining out while helping restaurants get back in the groove and rebuild their businesses.
“The mission of Heart of Ellsworth is to promote economic, artistic, cultural, educational, historical, and environmental activities in the “Downtown” area to provide a vibrant community for all residents, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and local government.”
