3rd Annual Taste of Ellsworth Event
Heart of Ellsworth is pleased to announce the Taste of Ellsworth, June 29th on Franklin Street from 5 to 10 pm.
The community is invited to celebrate our downtown by eating with a view of City Hall. This year’s festival theme – garden party. With the help of community volunteers, Wallace Events will transform Franklin Street extension into an open-air dining experience. “After two successful Taste of Ellsworth events, I am honored to return for my third year as Creative Director. I believe in the growth and development of downtown Ellsworth and want to be part of its success.” says Creative Director and Heart of Ellsworth Board Member Peter Lione.
Three live acts will be performing on stage setting a fun summertime feel – Gus La Casse and Big Tree warm up the stage for this year’s headliner,Whoopy Kat! The event will feature an all-ages game area with giant Connect Four, Jenga, and other surprises. Bar Harbor Catering Company will have a cash bar section of the festival, pouring a signature Taste of Ellsworth cocktail alongside beer from Airline Brewing Co and Fogtown Brewing Co.
With the generous support of Machias Savings Bank, the festival will feature 17+ local eateries serving up appetizer size tastes of signature menu items. Staff from each eatery will be on site ready to talk about their business. This year’s culinary line-up includes but is not limited to Acadia Bar & Grill, Manny’s Greek Grill, Ria’s German Treats, Serendib, Morton’s Moo, Finns Irish Pub, 86This!, Sylvia’s Cafe, and Mike’s Country Store.Tickets are for sale online at Eventbrite, Facebook and on the heartofellsworth.org webpage. Adult tickets $37.50, children $15, and $40 at the door.
