2nd Annual Taste of Ellsworth Event
Heart of Ellsworth is pleased to announce the Taste of Ellsworth, June 30th on Franklin Street from 5 to 10 pm.
The community is invited to celebrate our downtown by eating with a view of City Hall. This year’s festival theme – Americana. With the help of community volunteers Wallace Events will transform Franklin Street extension into an open air dining experience. “After the success of last year’s inaugural Taste of Ellsworth event, I am honored to return for my second year as Committee Chair. I believe in the growth and development of downtown Ellsworth and want to be part of its success.” says volunteer Carolyn Wakefield.
Three live acts will be performing on stage setting a fun summertime feel – a local Ellsworth band, Trisha Mason Band, and headliner Blake Rosso Band will perform on stage. The event will feature an all ages game area with giant Connect Four, Jenga and other surprises. Airline Brewing Company will be pouring beer at the cash bar.
With the generous support of Machias Savings Bank the festival will feature 15 local eateries serving up appetizer size tastes of signature items from their menu. Staff from each restaurant will be on site ready to talk about their establishment. This years culinary line-up includes but is not limited to Serendib, Morton’s Moo, Finns Irish Pub, Sylvia’s Cafe, and Mike’s Country Store. This year’s beneficiary will be Downeast Project Hope. Tickets are for sale online at heartofellsworth.org and Machias Savings Bank – High Street location. Adult tickets $37.50, children $15, and $40 at the door.
