Eggs & Issues - Making Taxes "Less Taxing" (7:30 AM)

Taxes are one of the more important and complex aspects of owning and operating a successful business.  Many businesses pay a mixture of local, state, and federal taxes.  Although you may not think you have to pay much attention to this topic because you have an accountant, payroll person, or tax advisor, there are still many facets of tax law that you should know.

The Internal Revenue Service is a great source for all of this information.  Learn about great resources such as the Small Business and Self-Employed Tax Center, Small Business/Self-Employed Virtual Small Business Tax Workshop, Small Business Resource Guide and much, much more.

Also learn about the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, signed into law by the President on February 17, 2009.  ARRA includes key provisions that impact individuals, families and businesses.

Presented by:
Shawn Savage, Senior Stakeholder Liaison, Internal Revenue Service
Chamber members, $9;  non-members, $10
