March 2008

Micki Sumpter,
Chamber Director

Dear Chamber Members:

First and foremost, thank you for your continued support and belief in the Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce. The board and staff want all of you to know we realize how vital each of you is to this area and the Chamber.

We thank everyone who attended the Chamber breakfast on February 6. Over 130 participated. Our thanks go to KeyBank for sponsoring the breakfast again this year. In the coming weeks, we are hosting many different programs. Two of those programs are the leadership seminar MAXIMUM IMPACT and the 53rd Annual Meeting.

Maximum Impact is on April 18, 2008 at Faith Community Fellowship on the Bar Harbor Road.  Maximum Impact has a speaker lineup that includes John Maxwell, Andy

Stanley, Bill Taylor, Patrick Lencioni, Dick Vitale, Andy Andrew and Kevin Carroll. This powerful leadership seminar is excellent training for work teams including management, owners and staff. The cost is minimal and what a benefit to your personnel.

The 53rd annual meeting/dinner is on May 1, 2008, at the Ellsworth Holiday Inn convention center. We are working on award nominations, board nominations and details for the evening. This year we are trying something different. Award and board nomination forms will be sent by e-mail to members.  For those without e-mail, the Chamber will also have forms in the office to be mailed.  Call the Chamber office 667-5584 to request hard copy forms.

The Top Drawer Award nomination forms have been sent to all the Chamber’s past presidents. The announcement of the Top Drawer nominee will be publicized in early March.

We hope to see you at both events. Once again, thank you for all your support. Hope to see you all at all our events.

Micki Sumpter
Executive Director
