Ellsworth Construction Report

ROUTE 3 (AT THE TRIANGLE TO MYRICK STREET)
BECOMES ONE-WAY ON
SEPTEMBER 3, 2008

BEFORE SEPTEMBER 3:

·        Week of August 17: electronic message boards

·        Install & bag new directional signal

·        Maine Coast Mall entrance, surface pavement

·        Route 1 @ Triangle (by MDOT): reconfigure, week of August 17, nights

·        Signal @ Myrick & Route 1; installed and bagged

·        Signal @ Myrick & Route 3; reset existing signal

·        Route 3 (McDonalds): Utilizing existing signal cabinet

·        Route 3 (200-300 yards from Myrick): Install overhead directional sign

·        Route 3 & McDonalds: Prevent left turns with barrels and barricade

·        Route 3 & Myrick: Prevent wrong-way traffic with barrels and barricade

AFTER SEPTEMBER 3:

·        Reconstruction of Route 3 (Myrick to Beechland): Completed by November 15

·        Widening from Myrick to Beechland

·        Milling & pavement on Route 3 (one-way section)

·        All signals will be timed: Synchronized at completion of intersection work

·        Route 3 & Beechland: Change signal cabinet

Be aware that traffic patterns are subject to change at any time in the construction zones. Please:

  • Allow extra time to get to your destinatio
  • Obey all flaggers
  • Use caution as you drive through the work areas.
