are accurate for 2005.
- The average selling
price of a home in Hancock County is $180,000.
- General pricing for
deep-water ocean frontage is $1,000 - $2,000 per foot (depending on
location, view, etc.)
- Residential housing
lots average:
$30,000 - $40,000 without public sewer and water (1 acre)
$50,000 - $60,000 with public sewer and water (1 acre)
- New housing
construction begins at $150 per square foot

Commercial
There is also a wide variety
of commercial space available in the Ellsworth Area. Retail and office space
is readily available, and although there is not a great deal of
manufacturing space pre-built, we do have commercially zoned land on which a
suitable building could be quickly erected. A few examples of prices
